ClimateSmart Home Service
-
I had the ClimateSmart Home Service prior to July 2011 but I already had the power and water saving showerhead and the CFL’s, am I able to get the thermostat adjustment currently offered?
The ClimateSmart Home Service that you received was heavily subsidised by the Queensland Government. This means that even though you did not receive the CFLs and showerhead, the power monitor and electrician's energy assessment would usually cost in excess of $50 so the service cost you paid represents significant value for money.
Unfortunately, as we would need to send an electrician out to your home, we are unable to offer the thermostat adjustment to existing ClimateSmart Home Service customers.
If you are interested in getting an electrician out to check whether your hot water system temperature needs to be adjusted, please contact one of the following trades associations. All three associations will be able to recommend a qualified trades person in your area who is trained in energy efficiency and can help with adjusting your thermostat and any other energy saving questions you may have.
