Why am I getting another plan?
As part of our commitment to helping Queenslanders tackle their increasing energy costs the ClimateSmart Home Service recently launched the ‘How Low Can You Go’ energy challenge. As part of this challenge we want to encourage all of our existing customers to keep thinking about how they can reduce their energy usage, as the savings can continue well after the service has been completed. You may recently have received a letter from us introducing you to the challenge, this replaces our previous Power and Water Saving Plan – don’t worry though it still contains the power saving steps you need to get started as well as information on the latest government and community initiatives.
The previous My ClimateSmart Home website has also been updated in line with the energy challenge, use the log on details provided on your Member’s Card to access the site and find all the steps you need to limbo your way to greater power bill savings. You’ll also be able to track your progress and see how you compare with other household’s like yours.

What do I do with my Member’s Card?
Your Member’s Card has all the details you need to log on to your energy challenge website. Keep it somewhere handy like in your wallet or next to your computer.

Can I get a new Member’s Card if I lose mine?
Unfortunately we aren’t able to supply a new Member’s Card if you lose yours. If you need to change your password you can do so on the ‘My details’ page of the how low can you go website. If you have forgotten your log on details you can contact 133 600 for help.

What do you mean by similar households to mine?
In determining households similar to yours we look at several characteristics, these include the number of people in your house, the type of hot water system you have, whether you have air conditioning, a pool or spa or roof insulation and how many fridges you are currently using.

How do you know what my current household usage is?
Your current household usage is based on the power bill details that we collected from you during your service. If you didn’t have a bill handy at the time of your service or you’ve since received another one, then make sure you log on to howlowcanyougo.com.au and enter your bill details to see how you’re tracking in the energy challenge.
