97.3 COMPETITION - TERMS AND CONDITIONS
METHOD OF ENTRY
The ClimateSmart Home Service '97.3 Competition' (Competition) is open to any person eligible for the ClimateSmart Home Service (CSHS) who books (and has not previously booked) a CSHS for their residence within the competition duration.
By booking the CSHS, entrants will be deemed to agree with these terms of entry.
COMPETITION DETAILS
The Competition will operate over two (2) separate time periods:
1. The first period will commence at 12:01am on 15 March 2010 and close at 7:00pm on 18 March 2010 (inclusive). The prize winner for this period will be selected at random by a representative of the promoter of the Competition on 19 March 2010, will be notified by phone on 19 March 2010, and announced on 97.3FM on or after that date.
2. The second period will commence at 7:01pm on 18 March 2010 and close at 7:00pm on 25 March 2010 (inclusive). The prize winner for this period will be selected at random by a representative of the promoter of the Competition on 26 March 2010, will be notified by phone on 26 March 2010, and announced on 97.3FM on or after that date.
The promoter may in its absolute discretion suspend, cancel or recommence the Competition if:
a) for any reason the Competition is not capable of running as planned, or
b) the determination of the prize winner or the delivery of the prizes is prevented or hindered by any outside agent or event.
NATURE AND VALUE OF THE PRIZES
The winners of the Competition will each receive the following prize:
$1000 worth of Coles Myer gift cards
If a prize becomes unavailable, the promoter may, in its discretion, substitute a replacement prize of like or equal value.
Any change in the value of prizes between the date the Competition commences and the date prizes are delivered is not the responsibility of the promoter. Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for a cash equivalent. The prizes must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if the recipient is unable to use it in this way. Any additional costs incurred by the winner, other than those which form part of the prize such as the cost of the CSHS, are the responsibility of the winner.
The prize winner agrees to participate and cooperate as required with any marketing activities undertaken by the promoter in relation to this Competition.
RELEASE AND INDEMNITY
To the extent permitted by law, the promoter excludes liability for, and all entrants release from and indemnify the promoter against, all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of acceptance of the prize or participation in the Competition including (but not limited to) loss of income, loss of opportunity, personal injury and damage to property, whether direct or consequential, foreseeable, due to some negligent act or omission or otherwise.
PROMOTER
The promoter is Local Government Infrastructure Services Pty Ltd ABN 17 115 959 021, level 14, 61 Mary Street, Brisbane, Queensland.
Employees and contractors of the promoter, their families and companies associated with this Competition are ineligible to enter.
The promoter's decision in relation to all aspects of the Competition is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
PRIVACY STATEMENT
Your privacy is important to us. Personal data will be collected when you register for the Competition. This information might include your name, age, gender, address, telephone and email contact details as well as details of measures you have undertaken to save energy in your home.
We will use your personal information for the purposes of the Competition, and to provide the CSHS to you in accordance with the terms and conditions of the CSHS. Where necessary, this will involve the promoter disclosing your personal information to its contractors for these purposes. Otherwise, this information will not be used for any other purpose without your prior permission.
The promoter reserves the right to change this policy at any time with or without notifying you of the existence of a revised privacy policy.
